Product Line Sheets

A Product Line Sheet (PLS) is a file that contains parametric data for a complete product line of a particular manufacturer, such as a Dyka PVC PLS file, Legrand cable trays, Wilo pumps, Brugman radiators and many more. Examples of parametric data are type numbers, descriptions, dimensions, details about connections, and article numbers. These PLS files are constantly enriched with information and are always up to date. This means an increased quality and usability of your models.
The added value of a manufacturer-specific PLS can be found in the added data and elsewhere. The data consists of:
  • Correct sizes and part numbers of the articles.
  • ETIM / GTIN classifications.
  • Deep link to the articles, which refers to technical product information.
  • Technical product information suitable for Prefab.
  • Articles from a manufacturer-specific PLS are up to date and can be ordered from the manufacturer.

Generic versus specific
Unlike generic, unspecified content, you work with real deliverable articles from real manufacturers when using specific content. For example, you have a fixed size representation of a specific Intergas boiler in your Revit model or CAD drawing. This model contains all the information needed for coordination, clash detection, assembly and delivery. Generic content are non-deliverable items; you cannot order these articles and they do not contain any product information.
